Yu-Gi-Oh! Valiant Smashers booster box (VASM-EN) is a sealed booster display from Konami, released as part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game's 25th Anniversary celebration. This booster box is aimed at both collectors and duelists who want to explore new strategies, chase rare cards, and expand their deck-building options with a deck-build-style special set.
Contents of the Valiant Smashers booster box
Each Yu-Gi-Oh! Valiant Smashers booster box contains:
- 24 English-language booster packs
- 7 cards per pack
- 1 foil card (Super Rare or Ultra Rare) and 6 Rare cards per pack
The set consists of 60 different cards divided into 10 Ultra Rares, 15 Super Rares and 35 Rares. Additionally, 15 selected cards can appear as Collector’s Rare, and 3 cards are available as Quarter Century Secret Rare — a special rarity introduced for the anniversary.
New themes and rare cards
The Valiant Smashers booster display introduces three brand-new TCG archetypes:
Centur-Ion – a Synchro-focused archetype with unique mechanics where monsters can be placed in the Spell & Trap zone to protect them or to special-summon them.
Memento/Mementotlan – gives classic monsters like Dark Blade and Tri-Horned Dragon new life as effect monsters, with the possibility to summon the boss monster Mementoal Tecuhtlica - Combined Creation (Ultra Rare, Collector’s Rare, Quarter Century Secret Rare).
Vaalmonica – a Pendulum- and combo-oriented archetype that opens up creative deck strategies.
The set features several sought-after chase cards, including Centur-Ion Primera, Centur-Ion Emeth VI and Mementotlan Dark Blade at higher rarities. For collectors, the Collector’s Rare and Quarter Century Secret Rare versions are especially appealing.
Reprints and deck-building opportunities
In addition to the new themes, the Valiant Smashers booster box contains reprints of popular and tournament-relevant cards such as Terraforming, Supply Squad and There Can Be Only One. These reprints make the box attractive to both new and experienced duelists looking to strengthen their decks with powerful staples in alternate printings.
