About M Blastoise-EX 22/108 from XY—Evolutions

M Blastoise-EX 22/108 is an Ultra Rare Mega Evolution card from the Pokémon TCG set XY—Evolutions, released on November 2, 2016. This card combines the classic first-generation Blastoise with the XY-era Mega Evolution and EX mechanics. The XY—Evolutions series is known for bringing nostalgic Base Set Pokémon back in updated versions, making this card appealing to both collectors and players who value historical and gameplay qualities.

Card features and gameplay mechanics

M Blastoise-EX 22/108 is a Water-type Mega Pokémon-EX with 220 HP, illustrated by 5ban Graphics. The card evolves from Blastoise-EX and has the following key characteristics:

• Attack: Hydro Bombard requires three Water Energy and deals 120 damage to the opponent's Active Pokémon. It also deals 30 damage to two of the opponent's Benched Pokémon (Weakness and Resistance do not apply to Benched Pokémon).
• Mega Evolution rule: When you Mega Evolve, your turn ends immediately.
• EX rule: If a Pokémon-EX is Knocked Out, the opponent takes two Prize cards.
• Weakness: Grass ×2
• Retreat Cost: Three Colorless Energy
• Rarity: Ultra Rare, documented as holofoil

The card is a reprint variant of M Blastoise-EX from the XY Base Set and is one of two Mega Blastoise cards in XY—Evolutions.

Collector and player interest

The card's collector appeal comes from the combination of Blastoise as an iconic Pokémon, the Mega Evolution mechanic, and the Evolutions set's tribute to the original cards. For players, the Hydro Bombard attack has strategic value because it hits both the Active and Benched Pokémon in a single attack. The card is relevant in the Expanded format, where it can be used in Water-type decks focused on wide damage distribution.

This product is sold as a single, loose Pokémon raw card. Condition, centering, surface and holo status of the specific card are not verified, and neither condition nor variant is guaranteed.
