Remember to bring your Pokémon Player ID so you can be registered for the prerelease. If you do not yet have a Player ID, you can create one at Pokemon.com.

- All participants receive a Build & Battle box, which contains a prebuilt 40-card deck and 4 booster packs from the new set. In addition, players receive 3 extra booster packs. All of these packs may be opened and used for your deck.

- Extra Energy cards will be available and can be used freely.

- Your deck must consist of 40 cards, which you compose from the cards you draw in your prerelease pack. You can always supplement with the available Energy cards.

- Unlike the normal Pokémon rules, it is allowed to play with more than 4 copies of the same card — as long as the cards come from your own opened packs. Cards with printed restrictions, such as Radiant Pokémon and Ace Spec, still follow the usual rules.

- After deckbuilding, a Swiss tournament of 3–5 rounds will be played, depending on the number of participants.

- The first round is set up with random pairings. In subsequent rounds, players are paired against others with the same number of points.

- The number of rounds is determined by the number of players in each age division:
  • 4–8 players = 3 rounds
  • 9–16 players = 4 rounds
  • 17+ players = 5 rounds
  (Note: The number is counted per age division. For example, 13 Masters and 5 Juniors will still result in 4 rounds, not 5).

- All matches are decided in a best-of-one.

- Each match lasts 30 minutes including setup.

• Play uses 4 Prize Cards instead of the usual 6.

NOTE: Important information about the prerelease event:
When purchasing this product you buy access to an in-store prerelease tournament. The product, i.e. a Build & Battle deck, is not sent by mail.

To receive the Build & Battle deck and any extra booster packs you must attend in person and participate in the tournament for the duration of the event. These products are only handed out to participants who are present and take part in the event.

If you do not show up for the event, you will not receive the Build & Battle or the boosters, as these are part of the tournament experience itself.
