The card's placement outside the set's main sequence and its status as a chase card make it particularly desirable among collectors. For players, Venusaur ex offers a combination of high HP, a self-healing ability, and a status-inflicting attack, making it relevant in decks focused on defensive strategy and status conditions. Its exact competitive value depends on the current metagame and deck choices.
