Team Rocket’s Moltres ex 229/182 – Special Illustration Rare from Destined Rivals

Team Rocket’s Moltres ex 229/182 is a Special Illustration Rare (SIR) Pokémon TCG single card from the Destined Rivals set in the Scarlet & Violet series. This card combines the iconic Fire-type Moltres with a Team Rocket theme and a distinctive illustration by AKIRA EGAWA, making it a sought-after collector's item and a strategically powerful card for players.

Details and mechanics

• Set: Scarlet & Violet—Destined Rivals (SV10)
• Card number: 229/182 (Special Illustration Rare)
• Illustrator: AKIRA EGAWA
• Card type: Basic Pokémon ex, Fire-type
• HP: 220
• Attacks: Flame Screen (110 damage; reduces damage by 50 next turn), Evil Incineration (requires discarding Team Rocket’s Energy to discard the opponent's Active Pokémon and all attached cards)
• Pokémon ex rule: The opponent takes 2 Prize cards when Knocked Out
• Weakness: Lightning ×2
• Resistance: Fighting −30
• Retreat Cost: None

The card's Evil Incineration attack is particularly notable, as it can discard the opponent's Active Pokémon and all attached cards if you discard a Team Rocket’s Energy. This creates significant strategic potential in play but requires access to the specific energy card.
