Gameplay mechanics and collector relevance

Steelix 35/147 is known for its two characteristic attacks: Earth Rift, which can hit all of the opponent's Benched Pokémon via coin flips, and Iron Smash, where the damage potential depends on two coin flips. The card's high HP, Metal type and classic e-Card design make it a sought-after item for collectors, especially those focused on Wizards of the Coast cards and the e-Card series.

The Aquapolis set marks an important chapter in Pokémon TCG history, both as one of the last releases from Wizards of the Coast and as a technological milestone with e-Reader functionality. Hajime Kusajima's Steelix illustration and the period-typical layout make the card an authentic piece of Pokémon history from the early 2000s.
