Gameplay and strategy

M Scizor-EX 77/122 is known for its powerful attack, Iron Crusher, which requires two Metal Energy and deals 120 damage. With Iron Crusher you can choose to discard either a Special Energy card from the opponent's Active Pokémon or a Stadium card in play, allowing you to effectively disrupt your opponent's strategy. As a Mega Evolution, your turn ends when you evolve from Scizor-EX, and if M Scizor-EX is Knocked Out, the opponent takes two Prize Cards under the EX rule.

The card has a weakness to Fire (×2), resistance to Psychic (−20), and a retreat cost of two Colorless Energy, underscoring its robust Metal-type profile.

Collector interest and variant differences

M Scizor-EX 77/122 is of special interest to collectors of XY single cards, Mega Pokémon-EX, and Metal-type Pokémon. It is important to note that this card differs from Scizor-EX 76/122 and the Full Art version from the same set. The classic Ultra Rare version illustrated by 5ban Graphics is a sought-after piece in many Pokémon single card collections, especially for those focusing on XY BREAKpoint or Metal Pokémon.
