Level-Up mechanics and gameplay features

Darkrai LV.X is a Level-Up card, which means it is played on top of an existing Darkrai. It grants access to both its own and the underlying Darkrai’s abilities, opening tactical options in play. The Poké-Body Dark Shadow enhances Darkness-type Pokémon by adding extra damage, while the attack Endless Darkness deals damage and can inflict the Sleep condition — it can also lead to a Knock Out on a coin flip. This combination makes the card attractive to both players and collectors who appreciate the unique mechanics from the Diamond & Pearl era.

Collector relevance and correct identification

Darkrai LV.X 104/106 is a central chase card in Great Encounters and a highly valued Pokémon single cards entry from the Diamond & Pearl series. The card should not be confused with the Gym Challenge edition or the DP19 promo – the correct version is identified by collector number 104/106 and the Great Encounters set logo. For collectors focusing on Diamond & Pearl cards, this card is an important piece of the collection.

Condition and storage

The card is offered as a raw card, which means it is not graded or slabbed. Condition, centering, and any small imperfections should always be assessed from the available images or by physical inspection. To protect your card optimally, we recommend storing it in a sleeve or binder – see our selection of accessories for trading cards.

Note: The product name should be “Darkrai LV.X 104/106 – Great Encounters”. “Gym Challenge” is not correct for this edition. Always verify the card’s set number and language before making a purchase.

Note: You will receive one booster pack per purchased unit. The image is for illustration.
