Pokémon TCG, Pikachu & Zekrom GX (Black & White—Plasma Storm #248)

About the Pikachu & Zekrom-GX SM168 promo card

Pikachu & Zekrom-GX SM168 promo is an official Sun & Moon Black Star Promo card, released by The Pokémon Company as part of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This version was distributed in the Tag Team Tin: Pikachu & Zekrom-GX and is characterized by its alternate artwork illustrated by kawayoo as well as its distinctive holofoil finish. The card unites two of the Pokémon universe's most iconic figures, Pikachu and Zekrom, in a single powerful design that clearly differs from the Team Up prints.

Gameplay features and attributes

As a TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX, Pikachu & Zekrom-GX SM168 offers several notable gameplay options that will especially appeal to both players and collectors:

• Full Blitz – 150 damage: Search your deck for up to three Lightning Energy cards and attach them to one of your Pokémon. Then shuffle your deck.
• Tag Bolt-GX – 200 damage: If there are at least three additional Lightning Energy attached to this card, the attack can also do 170 damage to one of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. GX attacks can only be used once per game.
• TAG TEAM rule: When this Pokémon is Knocked Out, your opponent takes three Prize cards.
• HP: 240
• Weakness: Fighting ×2
• Retreat Cost: 3

These attributes make the card a central piece for anyone looking to build a strong Lightning deck or expand their collection with an iconic holofoil Pokémon card from the Sun & Moon era.

Collector and promo relevance

The SM168 version is a Pikachu Zekrom GX promo with alternate artwork and official promo status, making it particularly sought after by collectors. The promo was distributed via the Tag Team Tin: Pikachu & Zekrom-GX and should not be confused with the Team Up cards or the Black & White-era Plasma Storm set. The combination of Pikachu and Zekrom, the holofoil finish, and the unique illustration make this Pokémon SM Promos an obvious choice for both dedicated collectors and active players.
