Pokémon TCG, Trainers' Mail (XY—Ancient Origins #100)

Trainers' Mail 100/98 – Secret Rare from Ancient Origins

Trainers' Mail 100/98 is an English-language Pokémon TCG Secret Rare single card from the XY expansion Ancient Origins. The card is numbered 100/98, which places it outside the set's main numbering and marks it as a Secret Rare with a holofoil finish. The card is illustrated by Toyste Beach and was released by The Pokémon Company in 2015. The product is ungraded — a so-called raw card — and differs from Trainers' Mail from other sets.

Function

As a Trainer—Item card, Trainers' Mail lets you look at the top four cards of your deck and choose a Trainer card (except another Trainers' Mail) to add to your hand, while the rest are shuffled back. The Ancient Origins version is legal in the Expanded format and not in Standard. The Secret Rare status and the special numbering make the card relevant for collectors of XY single cards and Pokémon single cards.
